Elections and committee appointments

Committee members are elected annually at the AGM. The Constitution specifies term limits and the process.

Nominations

  • Nominations open 10 days before the AGM
  • Any member may nominate themselves or another member
  • Nominee must provide a short biography and express consent
  • Nominations close 3 days before the AGM
  • List of nominees circulated to members before voting

Voting process

  • All members vote (present or by proxy)
  • Each position voted on separately if multiple candidates
  • Candidate with most votes wins the position
  • Results announced immediately after voting
  • Results recorded in AGM minutes

Term limits

Committee members serve for one year and are eligible for re-election. The Constitution specifies maximum consecutive terms.

Mid-term vacancies filled by committee appointment, subject to member ratification at the next AGM.
