Decision-making procedures¶
The society makes decisions through meetings and voting. All decisions are recorded in minutes and tracked to completion.
Committee decisions¶
- Made during committee meetings or via emergency email vote (if time-critical)
- Simple majority vote (50% + 1) required
- Results recorded in minutes with vote count
- In rare cases, consensus preferred but not required
- Decisions binding once recorded in minutes
- Emergency email decisions ratified at next meeting
Member decisions¶
- Made at general meetings or AGMs
- One vote per member (present or by proxy)
- Simple majority vote required
- Special resolutions (constitutional changes) may require higher threshold per Constitution
- Results recorded with vote counts
